You're the captain
The match comes down to the last overs. Read the batter, set the field, make every call.
Your level
Death Overs · No. 1
Fourteen to defend off the last over. A finisher on strike who murders anything short, dew on the ball, a No. 11 at the other end, and a crowd on its feet.
The captain’s armband is on the bench. It’s yours.
First ball in --:--:--
You're the captain at the end of a tight match. Every ball is your call; the engine plays it out. Win the match, and make the best calls you can.
Some matches are the last day of a Test: the last pair in, runs to win and overs left. Reach the target and win; bat out the overs and it's a draw (worth half); lose the wicket and lose. A red ball: fewer runs, catchers round the bat.
At the end, every call is checked against the best call in the same situation, worked out exactly. Captaincy is how close you were, whatever the luck did.
Club, County, Franchise, International, World Cup Final. Win three in a row to move up; lose two in a row and you drop down. At World Cup Final even perfect captaincy loses half the time.
One match a day, the same for everyone, new at 00:00 UTC (5:30 am in India).
